This is a stylish, newly opened hotel. The design of the hotel, looking out on to the most beautiful Mediterranean garden, is stunning. Our room was huge and beautiful. The air conditioning worked super effectively. The bathroom was ultra luxurious…huge, chic and with a beautiful rainfall shower tiled in sunburst colours. This new hotel is linked, via the garden, to the longer established Editory Artist hotel. We strolled across the garden to this sister hotel and enjoyed a delightful ‘tasting menu’ one evening, lunch is also available. The hotels offer ‘placements’ to students from the neighbouring tourism and catering college, which means that service is absolutely excellent. The staff were so friendly and enthusiastic. There was a real vibrancy to the hotel.

We booked to stay at The Editory Garden Hotel, Porto but actually stayed in The Editory Artist Hotel, next door. I will leave a separate review for that hotel. We arrived to check in and were advised we'd be upgraded to a bigger room at the adjoining Editory Artist due to an issue with our room at Editory Garden. The hotels share the gorgeous courtyard Garden so we didn't feel we'd be missing out and were happy to have the room issue resolved before we even checked in. The staff were so kind and welcoming and made sure we knew the facilities of both hotels were available to us.

We were greeted so warmly when we arrived and we managed to have our room 2 hours before official check in at 3pm. Our room was super clean, and on the third floor with the lift being close by. The bed was so comfy, the shower was 10/10! Loved that we could actually open the window and get some air flowing through. We visited for our anniversary and came back to our room later to some brownies and a little note. Fantastic location, incredible value for money. We didn’t have the breakfast so can’t comment on that.

The Editory Garden Hotel is a very good choice to stay in Porto and discover the city easily. It is not far from the airport and close to subway stations. All major points of interest can be reached easily with the public transports or walking in the streets. The hotel itself is well-designed, very clean and pleasant with its inner garden located in the courtyard, the comfy and quiet rooms offering good space and equipment.

The hotel was really comfortable, the staff were excellent. Coffee machine in the room was excellent (yay good espresso!) We also loved the location for what we were looking for. We also had the Moments" testing menu in the sister hotel (which is a hospitality training school) at the recommendation of our Duoro Valley tour guide who had eaten then before and it was amazing. So well done! We'd definitely stay again.
